We organise various events throughout the year, including New Members evening, AGM, Two Oceans and Comrades send-offs.
Most events are at our new clubhouse at the Durbanville Bowling Club. This gives all members, especially our new members the opportunity to meet fellow runners.
More than 50 Cape Multisport Club (CMC) runners travelled to Stellenbosch to take part in the 2026 Versus Out & Back Challenge, enjoying a fantastic morning of running, community, and camaraderie. We also had some of our DC and Iron Man Cyclists Join us for a pit stop during their training ride.
The Versus Out & Back Challenge is a unique event that encourages runners to test themselves over an out-and-back course. Participants run to a designated turnaround point before returning along the same route to the finish, creating an inclusive event where runners of all abilities can challenge themselves while sharing the experience with fellow participants. The format allows athletes to see and encourage one another throughout the event, making for an energetic and supportive atmosphere.
With perfect winter weather and the beautiful Stellenbosch scenery providing the backdrop, the day was filled with smiles, conversation, and plenty of kilometres. Whether participants were chasing a personal best, enjoying a social run with friends, or simply taking in the experience, there was something for everyone.
The event once again highlighted what makes the running community so special—bringing people together through a shared passion for movement, adventure, and supporting one another.
A heartfelt thank you goes to everyone who represented CMC and to those who came out to support and encourage our runners throughout the morning. Your enthusiasm and club spirit made the day a memorable one.
