WP Cross country Relay 9 May 2026
This past Saturday, our club headed out to the scenic greenbelt behind Willowbridge for an exciting morning of cross country action, featuring both the 4-man relay and the tough 1-Hour Challenge.
With great weather, plenty of team spirit, and strong competition throughout the morning, our athletes once again showed what club running is all about β commitment, camaraderie, and stepping up when needed.
We had several teams taking part across the relay events, and in true club spirit, some of our members even doubled up and ran twice to help fill teams that were short on runners. That determination and willingness to support fellow teammates captured the heart of the event and highlighted the incredible spirit within the club.
The course provided a proper cross country challenge, with fast sections, uneven terrain, and enough twists and turns to keep runners working hard from start to finish. The 1-Hour Challenge tested endurance and pacing, while the relay events brought speed, teamwork, and plenty of excitement as runners battled it out lap after lap.
Our athletes performed exceptionally well on the day, with a number of podium finishes added to the mix and some fantastic individual performances across the board. More importantly, it was another successful club outing filled with encouragement, laughter, and runners pushing themselves outside their comfort zones.
A big thank you goes out to everyone who participated, supported, and helped make up teams where needed. Days like these continue to build the strength and culture of our club.
Full results and podium performances will follow soon.

Selections may be limited due to budget constraints
Final team selections are subject to approval by the WPA Board
